The beginning. The first meeting of the North Dakota Aberdeen- Association was held in the basement of the Rudolph Hotel in Valley City, ND during March of 1942. It is believed that dues were collected based on a $5 annual fee plus a fee of 10 cents per animal that had been registered during the preceding year.
